Hot off the press: published paper in ACS Biomaterials Science & Engineering!

We are glad to share some good news to start the new academic year; after a long revision process, the paper “Bacterial Nanocellulose and Titania Hybrids: Cytocompatible and Cryopreservable Cell Carriers” has been accepted for publication.

This work describes how bacterial nanocellulose (BNC) and BNC-nanocomposites could be of great value as animal-free, portable and flexible substrates for the culture of human cells. Not only this, adherent cells cultured on BNC and BNC-nanocomposites can also be cryopreserved for long term storage in a new application opportunity for BNC in biomedicine. Congrats to all the authors!
