Periodically there is the possibility to join the group as a post-doctoral researcher, we look for excellent and highly motivated researchers. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to apply.
Possibilities range from the Marie Curie actions of the European Commission to various national schemes. Of special interest are two Spanish funding schemes that are yearly open to applicants from any nationality:
Juan de la Cierva fellowships of the Spanish Ministry of Science and Education: Roughly, applications are due in March, awardees are made public in June, and work starts in October-November
Fellowships of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC): Roughly, applications are due in December and awardees are made public in March-April
Both of them involve 3-year contracts that offer an excellent opportunity for professional development. Generally speaking, both PhD holders and students in their last year of PhD can apply to these positions. Some flexibility in the starting date is usually allowed by the funding agencies.
